28 farm consignments destroyed for violations

The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the agricultural quarantine offices at the Department of Agricultural Affairs, examined 5,849 consignments of various imported agriculture products, weighing 142,362 tonnes, in October at all Customs ports in the country. These included vegetables and production materials. Of these, 28 consignments weighing 105.74 tonnes were destroyed for violating the agriculture quarantine law and pest infection.
