Municipality ministry workshop reviews study on local vegetable market
The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Food Security Department, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), organised a workshop to review the preliminary results of a study on developing the local vegetable market in Qatar.The workshop was attended by Hassan Sultan al-Ghanem, Assistant Undersecretary for the Consumer Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Dr Masoud Jarallah al-Marri, director of the Food Security Department at the Ministry of Municipality; representatives from Qatar Development Bank and Hassad Food along with several vegetable producing companies and hypermarkets. Experts and specialists from the agriculture and food security sector were also present.
