UAE’s trade in pearls, precious stones hits AED 152.6bn in H1-20

UAE – Mubasher: The total value of the UAE's trade of pearls, precious stones, and metals reached AED 152.6 billion during the first half (H1) of 2020, according to the latest data by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).

The UAE's exports and imports of pearls, precious stones, and metals amounted to AED 50.04 billion and AED 81.18 billion, respectively, while the UAE recorded AED 21.4 billion in re-exports.

The UAE's trade of pearls, precious stones, and metals ranked second in terms of value, preceded by trade in machinery, appliances, and electrical equipment with AED 180.9 billion.

Meanwhile, the UAE's trade of ordinary metals, chemical products, and metal products is valued at AED 47.9 billion, AED 39.9 billion, and AED 35.27 billion, respectively.
