Bahrain eyes Gulf strategic partnership projects in land transportation sector

Bahrain is committed to implementing joint strategic projects with neighbouring Gulf countries to enhance the Kingdom's land transportation sector efficiency and sustain economic progress. This was emphasised by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa as he chaired the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects weekly remote meeting yesterday. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla, who is chairman of the Ministerial Committee, said the Kingdom is planning to enter into joint strategic project agreements that will benefit the national economy, enhance the internal transport network's efficiency, and provide additional transportation options at the "lowest cost“ for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and other Arab countries. This initiative will spur growth and provide job opportunities in the land transportation sector for the people of Bahrain and the region. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of developing the sector in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. "The esteemed government, represented by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in coordination with relevant Ministries and
