The cabinet’s media center denied rumors about merging the first and second semesters in a statement, as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research denied that any change will occur to the current system. The ministry confirmed that no new decisions or suggestions were made regarding the exams system of universities and academic institutions. Exams for the first semester for all stages of university education nationwide will be held after 20 February, which marks the end of the mid-year vacation.
