Shoukry tells Dendias Egypt keen to remove obstacles facing Greek companies, ease investments

CAIRO – 8 March 2021: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias, Egypt is keen to remove obstacles that may have been facing Greek companies and to facilitate the flow of Greek investments in the country.

As they met in Cairo on Monday, the ministers stressed on the strong bilateral relations and friendship tying their two countries in all fields, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Shoukry voiced Egypt's keenness to support the cooperation with Greece in the tourism field and to quickly launch bilateral cooperation in the energy field.

During their meeting, they discussed regional issues of mutual concern and welcomed the level of consultation between the two countries to coordinate on the developments in the region, the statement read.
