Arabian Business hosts SME Forum on November 16

Panels will discuss how the bedrock of the UAE economy can best emerge from coronavirus crisis

SMEs, according to Saeed Al Marri, Deputy CEO of Dubai SME, make up 99 percent of the UAE's economy. They are the job creators, sector innovators, key service providers and growth generators for the country – and, as such, they are the bedrock of commercial activity.

These businesses have, of course, also been the most impacted by the coronavirus in 2020, particularly those in sectors such as hospitality, travel and tourism and events. And while the picture remains in a state of flux, it is clear that 2021 will be the start of a “post-Covid” world and SMEs will be the engines driving the economy forward.
