She's the ultimate TV mom and wife of a generation and now, actress & humanitarian Patricia Heaton is setting her sights far beyond the household setting.
Best known for her two-time Emmy winning performance as “Debra Barone” on the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, Heaton is using her voice and her actions to make a difference in the world today, as she partners with World Vision to help struggling families in the U.S. and internationally. World Vision is “a Christian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. For good.”
“I have been looking for an organization that has a lot of transparency and where your dollar would go the furthest and that had sustainable impact. World Vision checked all those boxes,” Heaton reveals to Forbes. According to Heaton, World Vision goes into an area in need and they stay there for 12 to 15 years to make sure the programs they helped implement are sustainable by those within that given community. Heaton has been able to see World Vision's impact firsthand with trips to Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and Jordan. She hopes to travel to Guatemala and Bangladesh next in spring 2021, all
