King, USAID administrator discuss Jordan-US partnership in development sector

For her part, USAID Administrator Samantha Power expressed appreciation of Jordan's efforts in hosting refugees and providing healthcare and education to them throughout the pandemic. Just ahead of the King's visit to Washington, the first tranche of a US cash grant valued at USD600 million, was made to Jordan through USAID. This first tranche of a total $845 million grant falls under the US economic assistance programme for Jordan in 2021.
