Al-Asmar says GLC’s main cause is formation of rescue government of specialists

NNA - Head of the General Labor Confederation, Dr. Bechara Al-Asmar, on Wednesday confirmed during the GLC's sit-in at the federation's headquarters that “our main cause is to form a rescue government of specialists immediately,” fearing that “without a government, there will be no remedies.”

Al-Asmar called on officials to initiate concessions, and said: "Enough quotas, accusations, and a disguised lifting of subsidies, as is the case with medicine, food and medical supplies."

“If subsidies are lifted off the NSSF bill, who will pay the difference between the LBP 1500 and the black market price?”asked Al-Asmar.
