As Lebanon witnesses new hike in fuel prices, official promises relief – Roya News English

Lebanon witnessed a new rise in fuel prices Thursday, less than 48 hours after the increase announced by the government.

The Ministry of Energy and Oil issued a new price table, in which canisters of 95-octane gasoline were priced at 70,100 Lebanese pounds, an increase of 9,000 pounds from the table issued two days ago, and 98-octane gasoline was priced at 72,200 Lebanese pounds, an increase of 9,300 pounds.

Head of fuel distribution in Lebanon, Fadi Abu Chakra reassured the Lebanese that "the crisis is heading to a solution soon within 48 hours," noting that distribution companies will start distributing gasoline from Thursday night to Friday.
