European markets head for muted open ahead of PMI data

LONDON — European stocks are expected to open around the flatline on Wednesday with investors in the region awaiting key Purchasing Managers' Indexes from the euro zone. London's is seen opening 1 point higher at 7,098, Germany's 15 points higher at 15,659, France's  down 2 points at 6,616 and Italy's up 76 points at 25,251, according to IG. European markets are awaiting the first reading of activity in the services and manufacturing sectors in the euro zone and U.K. for June.
