‘Shortage in drilling operations’

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: The CEO of the Kuwait Oil Company, Imad Al-Sultan, has requested the Director of the Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Yusef Al-Fawzan, to allow 4,054 employees working for the Kuwait Oil Company, and those working for non-Kuwaiti contractors and are stranded outside the country due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and according to instructions issued by the Ministry of Health. Al-Sultan said in the request, a copy of which has been obtained by the Al-Seyassah daily, “Given the need for work and to avoid the ensure the vital operations of the company are not affected, please allow 4,054 employees to enter Kuwait directly, and exempt them from the decision that call to prevent the entry of workers from ‘banned’ countries since the company is committed to apply all conditions and standards specified by the Ministry of Health, indicating that “this worker has a valid residence.”
