This frame, by finding space on the weekly ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths in the nation, the set has passed one other legendary title and made history. Number Ones slips slightly on the latest edition of the U. K. albums chart, falling from No. 58 to No. 49. With one more turn anywhere on the tally, the set earns its five-hundred-and-twenty-third week on the ranking, and in doing so, becomes the longest-charting album by a solo musician in U. K. history. Number Ones now sits just one frame ahead of Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell, which managed 522 periods on the list, at least so far. Last turn, the two bestsellers tied one another, but now Jackson's beloved release has pulled ahead. The compilation now stands out as the longest-charting release of any kind by a solo musician, but Bat Out of Hell holds on to that same title when looking solely at traditional albums of original material.
