No plan to allow entry of expats as infection rate increases – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait English Daily

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: With the resurgence of coronavirus infection rate and increase in hospitalization among expatriates in the country compared to citizens, officials in the Ministry of Health confirmed there is no plan to allow the entry of expatriates in the near future, reports Al-Qabas daily. These officials said the current indicators of the epidemiological situation in the country are still worrying despite the almost stable daily infection rates for days, in addition to the expected amendment or easing of precautionary measures during Ramadan or allowing entry into the country this April until mid-May.

They stated that the numbers recorded during the first nine days of April indicate the difficulty of the health authorities in issuing any recommendation to ease preventive measures; especially after the country recorded 10,804 cases and 74 deaths during this period.
