Another 14 of the world's wealthiest agreed to join Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates and Warren Buffett's Giving Pledge in 2021, bringing the total number of philanthropists who have vowed to donate most of their fortunes either before or after their deaths to 231, according to a Tuesday announcement. The Giving Pledge was founded in 2010 by the billionaire Gates couple, who divorced earlier this year, along with famed investor Warren Buffett, in an effort to better mobilize the world's wealth toward pressing issues.
