NNA - United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, said in a tweet on Friday that she was "Pleased at the announcement of a new government. This is a first step. Swift, courageous moves are now needed in the public interest to get governance and economic reforms underway and to prepare for timely elections.

It is time to ease the burdens on the people of Lebanon and deliver on their aspirations for a promising future."
