Expats register higher COVID-19 infection prevalence rate in Oman

September 16, 2020 | 11:05 AM by Times News Service Muscat: Expatriates registered a general COVID-19 infection prevalence rate of 7.8 per cent in the Sultanate, in the results of the national survey of seroprevalence for COVID-19 infection, in its first phase.A statement issued online by Oman News Agency, (ONA), said: "The results of the national survey of seroprevalence for COVID-19 infection, in its first phase, indicate that the general COVID-19 infection prevalence rate in the Sultanate amounted to 6 per cent, with 3.9 per cent of Omanis and 7.8 per cent for expats.”"Based on these results, the study at this stage concluded that the number of infections is estimated at 276,685 among those who had symptoms and those who did not.”“The results of the survey show that the governorates of Muscat ...read more...
