Sultan Haitham appoints Oman’s first Crown Prince
Sultan Haitham Bin Tareq of Oman issued a royal decree appointing his son, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, as the Sultanate's first Crown Prince, by default.
Theyazin currently is Oman's Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The move comes a day after Sultan Haitham issued decree No.6 of 2021 on power transfer and appointment of Crown Prince.
