Will Tyra Bring Back Dancing With The Stars?

Dancing with the Stars is getting a makeover, tapping Tyra Banks as the new host of the ballroom competition. Banks is also credited as an executive producer of the show. The news comes fresh off the shocking exits of longtime Emmy-winning host Tom Bergeron and his co-host, Erin Andrews. Contrary to earlier reports, Banks will be the second African-American host in DWTS history. Lisa Canning shared hosting duties with Bergeron in the first season. 



"I've been a fan of 'DWTS' since its beginning,“ Banks said in a statement. "The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances ... it's always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk.“ 



And with a viewership that has plummeted substantially, DWTS could use some of Banks' renowned fierceness that has made her a household name.
