Shura committees hold discussions

The joint committee formed by Legal and Legislative Affairs, and Financial and Economic Affairs Committees of the Shura Council held a meeting on Thursday, headed by HE Chairman of the Committee Abdul Rahman bin Yousuf al-Khulaifi. During the meeting, the committee discussed the draft of social security law, in the presence of HE President of General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority Turki bin Mohamed al-Khater, where he answered the committee's inquiries and observations about the articles of the aforementioned draft law, and provided an explanation of some of the articles of the draft law, so that the committee can take the appropriate decision about it.

The joint committee will continue to host representatives of the competent authorities in the state during its meetings, to answer the inquiries and observations it made on the two draft social insurance and military retirement laws, and to clarify all their aspects, with a view to completing them as soon as possible.
