COVID-19 vaccines reduces hospitalization rates: Saudi MoH

Saudi Gazette Report RIYADH - Saudi Arabia's Health Ministry stated in a statement that the Covid-19 vaccines help in reducing hospitalization rates. The Ministry confirmed that the probability of hospitalization for non-immunized people when infected with the Covid-19 virus is 260 times higher compared to those who received the booster dose, while its 65 times higher compared to those who received only two doses. In a statistical statement, the Ministry clarified the rates of hospitalization according to the immunization status, where the highest rate of admission to the hospital came for those who did not receive the vaccines, at a rate reached to 12.75%. Meanwhile, the rate of hospitalization for those who received only one dose reached 2.13%, and 0.59% for those who passed 8 months after receiving two doses, while the rate of those who did not pass 6 months yet after receiving two doses reached to 0.19%, and the lowest percentage in the statement has went to those who received the booster dose, where the rate of admission to the hospital was 0.5%.
