Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Approves State General Budget for Fiscal Year 2021

Riyadh, December 16, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.

Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the indicators in the state's general budget showed the success of the Vision 2030 programs, as it made a comprehensive economic transformation based on diversifying the economy, increasing spending efficiency, reducing dependence on oil as a primary source of income, as well as enhancing the role of the private sector as an engine of economic activity.

The paper added that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is keen to ensure that the needs and demands of citizens are among the priorities of Saudi Arabia spending; therefore, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques issued directives in his speech yesterday at the Cabinet's virtual session to give priority to the protection of citizens and residents health and safety, continuation of efforts to reduce the effects of this pandemic on our economy, continuation of work to stimulate economic growth, developing of services, supporting the private sector, preserving citizens jobs in it and achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision.
