Shoura asks to curb tax evasion of social media celebrities

Okaz/Saudi GazetteRIYADH — The Shoura Council urged on Wednesday the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) to intensify its efforts to collect value-added tax (VAT) from social media celebrities, and prevent tax evasion from the part of some of them.The Shoura called on the Non-Oil Revenue Development Center to assign a neutral body to assess the economic and social impacts of non-oil revenue development initiatives.It also underlined the need to focus on the entities and sectors with greater revenues to sustain their flow without hindrance.The center aims to implement unified tools and plans
