DFM closes Wednesday down; ADX up

The UAE stock markets have closed Wednesday's trading session on a varied note. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.12% to settle at 2,831.93 points by the end of Wednesday's session. A total of 127.65 million shares were traded through 2,791 transactions valued at AED 194.88 million. Al Salam Bank - Sudan headed the rising stocks with 6.25%, while National Industries Group Holding (NIND) topped the losing stocks with 9.89%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.61% to end Wednesday's trading session at 6,711.3 points. Turnover amounted to AED 1.5 billion after 187.24 million shares had been exchanged through 4,965 transactions. Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co came on top of the green zone with 15%, while OOREDOO headed the red zone with 3.75%.
