DFM ends Wednesday up; ADX down

The UAE stock markets have closed Wednesday's trading session on a varied note. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.24% to end Wednesday's session at 2,711.21 points. A total of 301.65 million shares were traded through 4,382 transactions valued at AED 437.74 million. National Industries Group Holding (NIND) topped the rising stocks with 14.89%, while Depa headed the losing stocks with 9.91%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down by about 0.15% to settle at 6,518.61 points by the end of Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 4.64 billion after 442.28 million shares had been traded through 3,749 transactions. Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) came on top of the green zone with 14.96%, while Sharjah Insurance Company led the red zone with 10%.
