UAE requires govt staff to take Covid test every 2 weeks

Starting January 17, all UAE government employees shall be required to undergo PCR Covid-19 tests every 14 days at their own expense.However, those who have been vaccinated shall be exempted, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced in circular issued on Tuesday.Any employees with medically proven health conditions that prevent them from taking the Covid vaccine will need to undergo a PCR test every 14 days. However, this will be undertaken for them by the federal government entity.For employees who cannot receive the vaccine because of an illness or a health condition, their employers shall bear the cost of the mandatory PCR tests, the FAHR added.
