An emergency approval for the use of COVID-19 vaccine has been announced by the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention, according to media reports.

In the beginning, the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to the “first line of defence heroes as they are at the highest risk of contracting the coronavirus, a UAE minister announced on Monday. It is stated that the vaccine will protect frontline workers from any dangers and provide safety precautions to them.

Emergency approval for the of use the COVID-19 vaccine is fully aligned with regulations and laws which permit accelerated authorisation process, said Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

It is mentioned that the
