Free flu vaccines for all Abu Dhabi residents

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) announced on Monday that it will administer the seasonal influenza vaccine for free to all residents of the emirate.

It will be available at its healthcare facilities, with a drive-through option also available at select centres.

Additionally, residents of Abu Dhabi and Al Aincan opt to receive the vaccine at their residence by opting for SEHA's home service, available for a flat fee of Dhs500 per household.

"Both Covid-19 and influenza viruses exhibit similar symptoms, underlining the importance of getting immunised this year to stay protected and alleviate the pressure on the healthcare sector. When more people get vaccinated, healthcare professionals will be able to dedicate their efforts to manage the demands placed by Covid-19 and other critical medical conditions,“ said Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi,
