UAE issues 34,780 new business licenses in 10M

UAE - Mubasher: The number of new business licenses in the UAE reached 34,780 licenses during the first ten months of 2020, according to data by the Emirati Ministry of Economy.





Registered businesses increased to around 689,260 until 28 October 2020, compared with 680,450 by the end of September, with an increase of 8,811 new licenses.





Project management services led the top ten licensed activities during October with 1,348, followed by painting with 514, floor and wall tiling with 433, and e-commerce with 151.





Dubai accounted for the largest share of the newly issued licenses, followed by Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.





A total of 42.5% of the licenses went to individual businesses, while limited liability companies accounted for 38.97% of the total.
