Bahrain’s success stories with gifted students highlighted

The Ministry of Education has participated in the virtual celebrations of the Gulf Day for Giftedness and Creativity organized by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) under the theme "Global trends in caring for gifted and talented people“



Dr. Bodour Buhaji, Head of the Gifted Students Center, and Dr. Suad Al Sayed Ibrahim, Head of Preparing Outstanding Students Programs in the Department of Special Education highlighted the ministry's efforts in nurturing gifted students in Bahrain, the relevant laws and legislations, and the ministry's strategy.



The tasks and role of the center in supporting, training and guiding gifted students in the academic and performance fields were reviewed along the enrichment programs offered to them.



The specialized programs offered to gifted students in schools under the supervision of the Department of Special Education were also at the celebration attended by around 700 specialists from ABEGS member states.



The role of the coordinators of the Gifted Students Committees in public and private schools and the most prominent achievements in local, regional and international competitions were also highlighted.



ABEGS is an intergovernmental regional organization working within its seven member states - Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and
