Education Ministry and UNIDO ITPO-Bahrain honour schools’ creative projects

The Education Ministry has organized, in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO)’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain (UNIDO ITPO-Bahrain), the closing ceremony of the third edition of the initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for secondary school students. The virtual ceremony was patronised by the Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, and attended by Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of UNIDO ITPO – Bahrain. Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Al-Nuaimi stressed the Education Ministry’s keenness to develop its curricula and include topics related to entrepreneurship, innovation and artificial intelligence, which are considered among the basic subjects that qualify students to engage in public life and build a knowledge-based society, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and those of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide students with the 21st century skills and build competencies capable of producing creative ideas and achieving SDGs through entrepreneurship and innovation.
