Sunni Endowment Council to sponsor the university education of 185 students
The Sunni Endowment Council has pledged to sponsor the university education of 185 students at a total cost of BD422,600.
The head of the council, Dr Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajiri, said that 62 of the students will be attending the University of Bahrain and the Polytechnic and their sponsorship would amount to BD117,800.
He added that 45 students would be attending private universities and that their sponsorship would BD180,000 while BD124,800 would be allocated to 78 students at Abdullah bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies.
The Council has been paying for the university education of students since 1995.
