North Sinai witnesses educational boom last 7 years

CAIRO - 10 June 2021: North Sinai governorate witnessed a boom in educational projects during the last seven years. During this period, repair and maintenance of existing facilities, expansions and construction of new schools, classrooms and administrations were carried out at a cost of more than L.E. 817, 441, 296 million. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Sinai Hamza Radwan said that since 2013-2014 until 2020-2021, the number of schools established has reached 69 schools and 729 classrooms, while the implementation of 8 schools and 115 classrooms is underway. The future plan includes establishing 38 schools and 373 classrooms. Among the under-construction educational projects in North Sinai is Egyptian-Japanese School in Al-Arish, at a cost of 16 million and 830 thousand pounds. Governor of North Sinai Major General Abdel Fadil Shousha confirmed that service buildings are being constructed in Al-Arish, Bir al-Abed, al-Hasna, and Nakhal at a total cost of 17 million and 346 thousand pounds. The KG classes and experimental schools are being expanded to meet the needs of parents to enroll their children in.
