AGU hosts workshop on the skills of research writing

The College of Graduate Studies (CGS) at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) recently hosted a workshop on experienced writing for scholarly research. Titled “The Art of Writing Research Science”, the workshop was presented by English Teacher at AGU Lama Al Salah, who asserted the importance of enhancing the role and level of scientific research academically, professionally and socially. In the workshop, Ms. Al Salah explained the mechanism for writing research papers and highlighted each part of writing research in separate episodes, underlining the importance of writing research in correct, accurate and professional English language. With participants from outside Bahrain, the workshop also discussed the common mistakes that the researcher makes in the preparatory process and stressed the importance of advance preparation for the research process, as well as the need for innovation, creativity and professionalism in content and language in all steps of writing research. By the end of the workshop, the participants underwent a brief examination to measure the extent of their benefit from the activity. The questions of the participating researchers were answered by Ms. Al Salah and the content of the next episode of this workshop, which is related to the science of writing research
