AGU organises sixth Career Day virtually

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) organised this week the activities of its annual Career Day under the theme "Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic Era“.



Held for the sixth consecutive year, the activity was organised virtually for the first time ever since its launch, and under the supervision of AGU's College of Medicine and Medical Sciences (CMMS) leadership and professional skills' development programme, with the aim of raising awareness among medical students on training opportunities in various countries of the world in the post-graduation stage, and to give them an overview of ways to join the medical residency programme and choose the appropriate specialisation through a conscious decision, using the experiences of some of their peers who preceded them to this stage, in addition to transferring the experiences of specialist doctors and consultants from different medical specialties.



On the occasion, AGU President Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly stated: "The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us several lessons, the most prominent of which is the importance of developing education in general, and adopting different and innovative work methods that are capable of dealing with various challenges.“
