The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with Al Sharqiyah University, organised a symposium titled ‘Private Lessons in the Sultanate of Oman – Reality, Reasons and Proposals’ to discuss the impact of private tuitions and find strategic solutions to reduce negative consequences

Dr. Mona bint Salem Al Jardaniyah, Undersecretary for Vocational Training at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the symposium presented results and recommendations of research done in Oman to study the effects of private tuitions, the impetus for its growth, and proposals that can be developed as initial solutions to reduce the practice.Addressing the Symposium, Dr. Khalsa bint Hamad Al Bahariya, an educational researcher at the Ministry of Education, pointed out the spread of private lessons in recent times, and noted that it has affected the course of educational process and its desired results.
