Private universities, university colleges offer 350 academic programs in Oman

Muscat: More than five private universities and 19 private university colleges in Oman offer approximately 350 academic programs till 2020. 

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said, "A report of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation indicates that the number of private higher education institutions in the Sultanate until this year amounted to nine private universities and 19 private university colleges and colleges offering approximately 350 academic programs."

"Bachelor's programs constitute 77 per cent of the total offered programs, while postgraduate programs constitute 23 per cent," the statement added.
