Two schools join the solar energy project in Oman | Times of Oman

Muscat: The solar energy project has been implemented in two schools in Al Dhahirah Governorate. A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The solar energy project that was completed in Al Dhahirah Governorate is considered one of the important projects and initiatives undertaken by Shell in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and SMEs." The project has been implemented in two of the governorate schools, namely, Fatima Bint Qais School in the Wilayat of Ibri and Al-Ala Bin Al-Hadrami School in the Wilayat of Yanqul. Engineer, Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Maamari from the Directorate General of Education in Al-Dhahirah Governorate, the supervisor of the project, explained that the project aims to develop the knowledge of students and visitors about solar energy technology, its system, the importance of its exploitation, and its multiple advantages and benefits. He added that the project provides students with practical applications.
