QU-YSC to organise Youth Research Forum in March

The Qatar University Young Scientists Centre (QU-YSC) will organise the fourth edition of its Youth Research Forum in March 2022.

The forum will encompass an array of new topics, attracting researchers from around the world. The event, held under the theme ‘The World Cup and Qatar 2022: Challenges and Aspirations,’ represents one of the most important research events at QU, aiming to disseminate research contributions and enrich the research environment.

The three themes of the forum include ‘National Identity, Social and Cultural Heritage,’ which deals with the challenges and aspirations of hosting the World Cup in Qatar and the challenges of preserving the cultural identity and social values of Qatari society.

The second theme tackles the legal aspect and deals with legal challenges and the protection of intellectual property rights related to the event. The final theme is ‘Science, Engineering and Medicine’ and includes mobile apps, robots, health and sustainability.

The research forum was able to attract a large number of youth participants interested in presenting their work, including 150 abstracts, 135 of which were accepted from 15 countries from the Arab region, Europe, Africa and Asia.
