Saudi Aramco joins Rice University’s Carbon Hub with $10mn commitment
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Aramco has joined Rice University’s Carbon hub, an initiative to accelerate the energy transition by developing sustainable uses of hydrocarbons. Aramco has joined Carbon Hub with a $10 million, five-year sponsorship commitment. “With this collaboration, there is great potential in the coproduction of hydrogen and carbon-based materials from hydrocarbons, aiming to significantly reduce the carbon intensity of energy systems and infrastructures worldwide,” said Ahmad Al Khowaiter, Aramco’s chief technology officer. Launched in 2019, Carbon Hub supports a zero-emissions future where clean hydrogen energy and advanced carbon materials are coproduced efficiently and sustainably from hydrocarbons. Aramco in partnership with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, or SABIC, and other Carbon Hub members plan to develop carbon materials to potentially displace emissions-intensive materials across broad industry sectors.

Saudi Aramco rakes in record profits, while Trudeau implements new carbon tax and tries to destroy the Canadian energy sector. Only one man has to go to save a nation. It is no different south of the border... 🧐
While Putin, Saudi Arabia & Qatar are getting rich off energy, Justin Trudeau can't stop running our Nation off a fiscal cliff, while rejecting mega deals from allies for ethical & clean Canadian oil & LNG.

How much do you think Canada can affect CO2 emissions worldwide, when Saudi Aramco is building a $12.2 billion refinery in China. Give me my carbon tax back Trudeau.
Aramco in Saudi Arabia states that it will supply carbon-neutral e-fuels for 80 C/litre. According to the KIT Karlsruhe, with the expected scaling of e-fuel production by 2030, the costs at the filling station will be roughly equivalent to those of fossil fuels!
Dear climate skeptics, you should read this: your fossil fuel heroes, whose propaganda you chose to believe, really saw it all coming. Not just #ExxonKnew. Because the science has been clear and compelling for decades. Some people just prefer to deny reality. https://twitter.com/BenFranta/status/1642577237009465345

Saudi Aramco had a record oil and gas production in 2022. Still, its carbon intensity, measured in CO2equivalent per barrel of oil equivalent, declined from 10.7 in 2021 to 10.3 in 2022.
Last week, the U.S. Commercial Service hosted a program focused on Carbon Capture Utilization & Sequestration (CCUS) within the series of “Trade Talks”. The program featured speakers from the @MoEnergy_Saudi, @aramco, @SABIC, @apqudra, and other industry-leading U.S. companies.
Instead of reducing emissions, Aramco wants to save the planet through carbon capture… scaled to 6m tonnes a year!! (Ignore the 60,000,000,000 tonnes they’ve emitted so far) https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/saudi-aramco-energy-ministry-sign-agreement-establish-carbon-capture-storage-hub-2022-11-10/
👀The USA talking about a "Green Initiative" and Carbon Credits. But still tries to run out to Saudi Arabia and mack the Oil Game. Obviously because Saudi Aramco made $532 MILLION A DAY in 2022!!!
But you can't serve two masters...

Just buzz words @Google I am sure they can prove that all energy they use is carbon neutral. Even the partnership with Saudi Aramco is carbon neutral 🤌
This article clearly shows that we need a carbon tax. Oil companies are making money hand over fist and not paying a dime toward the damage that the release of this carbon will cause to the climate https://cnb.cx/3T8O3YV #ClimateEmergency #carbonemissions
