Arada awards AED 367m contract to build student housing complex at Aljada

UAE - Mubasher: Arada, a Sharjah-based developer, has awarded Intermass Engineering and Contracting Company an AED 367 million contract to build Nest, an integrated student housing complex located at its Sharjah megaproject Aljada.

Located near education hubs, University City, Nest will provide regional and international students with smart technology-enabled facilities and amenities, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Intermass is a Sharjah-based contractor that has also worked on previous phases at Aljada and Nasma residences, Arada's first project.

The first units of the 12 five-storey apartment blocks, covering over a 388,000 square foot area, will be handed over in the second quarter (Q2) of 2022.

The Chairman of Arada, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, said: "The Nest community fits perfectly with Sharjah's mission to provide a progressive and all-round educational experience for students from the UAE and around the world."
