UAE: Employers, school heads obliged to report Covid cases

UAE's Federal Public Prosecution has clarified that principals of educational institutions and managers of establishments are obliged by law to inform health authorities if a student or worker is found to be infected with a communicable disease, such as Covid-19.The article further states that the concerned authority must isolate the infected person as well as any direct contacts, and will be well within their rights to refuse the infected person entry into the facility until he or she has fulfilled all conditions determined by the ministry or the health department. The Federal Prosecution has earlier clarified that anyone failing to report Covid infections to the relevant authorities is liable to a fine of up to Dh50,000.Comments Read Next1 hour agoSaudi Arabia records 337 new COVID-19 cases3 hours agoJapan finds new COVID-19 strain6 hours agoUAE reports 3,140 new coronavirus cases, 20 deaths11 hours agoBahrain records 648 new coronavirus cases yesterday22 hours agoKuwait reports 979 new COVID-19 cases, eight deaths1 day agoSaudi reports 327 new COVID-19 cases, five deaths1 day agoUAE: 354 facilities shut for COVID-19 violations1 day agoUAE reports 3,294 new coronavirus cases, 18 deaths1 day agoAir India: Dubai passengers need QR code on PCR test results1 day agoUAE's highest restaurant
