Amanat in talks to sell university campus in Dubai

Dubai - Mubasher: Amanat Holdings is discussing selling Middlesex University's campus in Dubai to Study World Education Holding Group, Bloomberg reported.





Amanat has inked a sales and purchase agreement with Dubai-headquartered Study World, which runs schools in the emirate, India, Sri Lanka, and Malta, sources told Bloomberg.





The sources referred that the talks are not final, and the deal requires the approval of the local education regulatory body.





In 2018, the Emirati investor in education and healthcare acquired Middlesex University's campus for around $100 million from liquidators of private equity firm Abraaj Group.





It is noteworthy to mention that in early June, the company's board has authorised the executive management to consider exiting from one of the investments.
