Counselling drive to help families in UAE resolve conflicts

Intensive family counselling sessions have been rolled out in Abu Dhabi to help settle marital disputes by dedicated social, psychological and legal mentors.

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) recently said it has stepped up its efforts in support of family guidance programmes by launching "Reconciliation is Better" [than divorce] initiative which aims to help families resolving their conflicts.

The programme consists in holding intensive family counselling sessions delivered by social, psychological and legal mentors, training workshops enhanced with multimedia content and interactive exercises to acquire the skills that enable reducing marital conflicts.
