EGX ends week in green, market cap. gains LE19.14B – Egypt Today









CAIRO - 23 November 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 19.14 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.





 





The benchmark EGX30 increased 1.96 percent, or 489.92 points, to end at 25,519.49 points.





 





The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.63 percent, or 31.64 points, to close at 5,065.43 points.





 





The broader index EGX 100 hiked 0.89 percent, or 65.71 points, to 7,444.05 points.





  





Market capitalization gained around LE 19.14 billion, recording LE 1.710 trillion, compared to LE 1.691 trillion in Wednesday’s session.





 





The trading volume reached 1.47 million shares, traded through 121,863 transactions, with a turnover of LE 4.57 billion.





 





Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 236.46 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 10.23 million, and LE 226.23 million, respectively.





 





Misr Duty Free Shops, Alexandria Spinning & Weaving (SPINALEX), and Alexandria Flour Mills were top gainers of the session at 20 percent, 10 percent and 9.84 percent, respectively.





 





Meanwhile, General Silos & Storage, Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co, and Arab Real Estate Investment CO.-ALICO were top losers of the session by 6.12
