Egypt’s Planning Minister, JICA’s Director-General for Europe and Middle East mull cooperation

Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said received Saturday Matsunaga Hideki, Director General of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for Europe and the Middle East region.

During the meeting, the sides discussed future aspects of cooperation between Egypt and the agency. The most prominent of these are: structural reforms; improvement in measuring economic indicators; setting medium-term plans; rates of economic growth; sustainable development; and the efforts of the Egyptian state in empowering women and creating efficient leaders.

El-Said presented the efforts made by the ministry over the past period. The minister highlighted measures taken to protect irregular workers in light of the COVID-19 crisis.
