Relocation to the New Administrative Capital heralds new era of modern governmental work: Egypt’s Sisi

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said on Saturday that moving to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) "heralds a new era of modern governmental work," according to a statement by the presidency

.

The president's remarks came in a meeting where the developments in the executive position of the technological infrastructure of the government district in the NAC were reviewed.

The NAC's governmental district, which is being built on 1.5 million square meters, houses 10 ministerial complexes grouping together 34 ministries in addition to the headquarters of the cabinet and House of Representatives.

The ongoing construction of the district is being conducted by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in partnership with private and 20 public sector firms, a previous statement by the cabinet said, adding that the project has provided 100,000 job opportunities.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the New Administrative Capital Company Ahmed Zaki Abin, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ehab El-Far, and Director of the Information Systems Department of the Armed Forces Yasser Abu Mandour.
