Sisi follows up with state’s financial performance indicators, directs paying exporters’ EDF arrears

CAIRO - 24 September 2020: Egypt's president Abdel Fattah al Sisi directed to continue monitoring the country's economic situation with regard to the Coronavirus impact on all sectors to ensure that the state's financial policies are within the safe side.

During a meeting, Thursday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Sisi followed-up with the financial performance indicators during July and August 2020, and state's measures to meet the financial needs of different sectors within the framework of dealing with the repercussions of the Coronavirus.

According to presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, Sisi also directed with the monetary payment of exporters' arrears and accumulated dues for The Export Development Fund (EDF), which amounting nearly to LE 20 billion.
