Four members of a Florida family face federal fraud charges after prosecutors say they sold tens of thousands of bottles of "Miracle Mineral Solution,“ which they marketed as a cure for Covid-19, that is actually a toxic bleach the FDA says has led to hospitalizations and deaths.

According to prosecutors, the toxic solution they sold contained sodium chlorite and water, which when ingested becomes chlorine dioxide, a "powerful bleach“ used in bleaching textiles, pulp and paper, as well as industrial water treatment.





Prosecutors say the family sold "Miracle Mineral Solution,“ or "MMS," as a Covid-19 cure, but had also marketed it as a cure-all for illnesses like AIDS, cancer and Alzheimer's.
